Terms of Service
Effective 21 October 2026
The agreement between you and Easy Books when you use the Service: your account, your data, plans and fair use, and our responsibilities.
1. Agreement
These terms apply when you create an account or use Easy Books (the "Service"). By doing so you agree to them on your own behalf and for the business you represent, and you confirm that you are at least 18 and allowed to bind that business. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Your account
- Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password secret and turn on two-step sign-in where you can. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite.
- New accounts start with basic features and are reviewed by our team, which may approve them on a plan, ask for more information, or refuse them.
- Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
3. Your data
You own the data you put into Easy Books. You give us permission to store, process and display it only to provide the Service to you and the people you authorise, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record and for having the right to record personal data of your customers, vendors and staff.
You can export your data while your account is active, and for 30 days after closing an organisation.
4. Accounting and tax
Easy Books is a tool for keeping books. It does not give accounting, tax or legal advice, and it does not replace a qualified professional. You remain responsible for your books, your filings and your compliance with tax and other laws, and you should check reports before relying on them.
Some features are marked as not yet available, such as GST calculation and returns. Labels on reports such as Schedule III describe our standard layouts and have not been certified by a professional body.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, to record transactions you know to be false, to send spam or harmful content through share links, to try to reach other organisations’ data, to test or overload our systems without our written permission, or to copy or resell the Service. We may suspend accounts that do.
6. Plans and payment
The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans have the limits shown on our pricing page and are charged at the price agreed when the plan is set up, plus applicable taxes. Limits are enforced by the Service: when one is reached, the action is refused and your existing books stay readable.
Cancellations and refunds follow our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available, secure and backed up, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to pause it for maintenance and will try to do so at quiet times.
We improve the Service over time and may change or retire features. If a change removes something important from a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.
8. Suspension and closing
You may close an organisation at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is unpaid after the grace period, and will tell you why where the law allows. Your books are kept as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Liability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or penalties arising from your filings, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any dispute; if we cannot, the courts of India will have jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version will be published here with a new effective date, and owners will be told in the app before important changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Contact
Write to us through Settings > Support inside the app, or through the contact details on our Support page (easybooks.tazq.io/support).
